Good point Haha! And it's not just jarring for the viewers but the artist and (in this case) myself as well!
I often change style depending on the mood/seriousness/setting of what I'm supposed to draw. I still have this "style" issue today even though I know I have some preferences doing certain details certain ways (those will probably always stick). As the Rhodes brothers said, a clear voice is definitely the way to go in order to get the audience to recognize and stick to your work. Aaarg, I wish I could stick to something lol

Great sketch, lots of energy!
In ref to your comments: I think the bigger problem I've had personally is putting together a portfolio that revolves around a specific style. It's a lot of fun experimenting, and like you pointed out, you never stop learning new things, but deciding on, or in my case sticking with just one style is a nightmare! Way back when I read a very interesting/informative interview with the Rhodes brothers and they briefly touched on the importance of having a clear voice in your portfolio work. It seems like such a no brainer, but that urge to show your 'range' by use of lots of different styles can be very jarring for viewers.
Moral of the story: I totally commiserate and sorry for the novel! Ha!

Looks awesome, I've always loved your original ideas when you post them. (Though I love pretty much all of your stuff so that isn't really a change)

"Remember me? I used to draw stuff.. and post it… sometimes."

...Akira Yasuda?

Nah I kid, but it good to see that you now have time to experiment into other artistic styles, most artist usually consider that approach, but end up being contempt in their own style (i.e: IT'S HARD igiveup)!

Also, awesome sketch, though I first though it was Desert Punk at first glance! XD;
